Data & Snowflake IT Architect Hybrid Leader

Job Description: IT Architect – Data & Snowflake Location: Hybrid (Local or drive-in candidates required) Schedule: Week onsite / Week remote Position Overview We are seeking a highly skilled IT Architect – Data & Snowflake to serve as a strategic technical leader within the Enterprise Data & Analytics team. This role is responsible for defining architecture, standards, and best practices for the enterprise data platform. The ideal candidate brings a strong background in data engineering and ETL/ELT development, with hands-on experience designing scalable, high-performance data pipelines. This individual will play a key role in enabling enterprise analytics, BI, and AI/ML initiatives through robust, secure, and optimized data solutions. Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Serve as the technical authority for data engineering and ETL architecture Review pipeline designs, code standards, and performance benchmarks Translate business data requirements into scalable technical solutions Design and own end-to-end ETL/ELT architectures for batch and incremental processing Define ingestion patterns from Oracle Exadata and other source systems Build high-volume, high-throughput pipelines for structured and semi-structured data Error handling and reprocessing Performance tuning Metadata management Parameterization and reusability Deployment and versioning Define standards for database design, warehouse sizing, RBAC, and performance optimization Develop semantic models and curated datasets for self-service analytics Design data architecture supporting AI/ML pipelines and model scoring Governance & Standards Establish enterprise data engineering and modeling standards Implement DataOps/DevOps practices including CI/CD and automated testing Partner with data governance teams on data quality, lineage, and cataloging Ensure security, access controls, and cost optimization within Snowflake Analytics & Data Enablement Collaborate with BI teams to support dashboards, KPIs, and analytics Architect solutions for predictive analytics, forecasting, and segmentation Guide development of enterprise data products Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with engineering, analytics, business, and cybersecurity teams Participate in architecture review boards and strategy planning Translate business needs into scalable data solutions Operational Excellence Establish monitoring, alerting, and SLA/SLO standards Ensure reliability, scalability, and disaster recovery readiness Lead root cause analysis and remediation efforts Drive improvements in data quality and observability Required Qualifications 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or enterprise data platforms Strong hands-on experience with: Snowflake (performance tuning, RBAC, resource management, streams, tasks, data sharing) Oracle Exadata SQL and ETL/ELT frameworks Experience designing analytical data models (Star schema, Snowflake schema, Data Vault) Experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or Azure) Experience building pipelines using tools such as dbt, Airflow, ADF, Databricks, Informatica, Talend, or similar Experience with Dataiku for analytics and ML pipelines Preferred Qualifications Cloud or platform certifications (Snowflake, Databricks, Azure, Informatica) Soft Skills Strong written and verbal communication Ability to lead and collaborate across cross-functional teams Comfortable working in fast-paced, enterprise environments Education High School Diploma or equivalent required J-18808-Ljbffr
