SUMMARY Mortenson is currently seeking aField Engineerin our Power Delivery Services Group to support and complete the full cycle of field coordination issues. You will be collaborating with staff at all levels including team members, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Demonstrating flexibility, resourcefulness, dedication, and efficiency with a high level of integrity and confidentiality will be vital for success. RESPONSIBILITIES Provide pre-construction supportLead submittal and RFI processes for specific definable features of work (DFW) using PMA and Project Connect programsEvaluate project design and engineering documents, ensuring organization and distributionPerform project-specific tasks in preparation for team mobilizationConduct advance research on living arrangements for project team membersPrepare turnover binder templatesAssist with preparation of Pre-Mobilization Kickoff meetingsCompile, contact, and arrange short form subcontracts with local entities at the project site (power, trailers, housing, local subcontractors)Assist in drafting subcontracts and purchase agreementsReview and utilize Best Practice Database for SWIs, quality documents, prep meetingsLead all aspects necessary for construction supportRun quality assurance & quality control process as per Project Quality PlanHandle inventory process as materials arrive on site: inspection, offload, receiving, storageCoordinate DFW prep meetings, initial inspections, follow-up inspections, punch list final inspectionsAssist Project Manager and Superintendents with material and equipment managementManage mechanical, electrical, and plumbing coordination drawings, shop and as-built drawingsCoordinate creation of lift and formwork drawingsManage production logs for work put in place (self-performed or subcontracted)Track Event Management incidents regarding Safety or Quality in DFW responsibilitiesAdminister closeout processesCompile turnover documentation for specific DFW and transfer to customer per project quality and TSO planAssist Project Engineer and Project Manager with closing out contract documents with subcontractors and suppliersSupport final inspections and punch list process with customer for particular DFW responsibilitiesProvide periodic updates of submittal register to customer or architectParticipate in project safety audits and Mortenson’s Zero Injury Safety ProgramEstablish alternative work methods as neededMaintain schedule of timelines and follow through until completionQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, or Architectural Engineering or Construction ManagementPrevious related internship experience is helpful for this positionDetail orientation sufficient to organize and effectively run multiple tasksPossess basic understanding of construction law and generally accepted business practicesStrong teamwork orientation, initiative, communication, and analytical skillsPositive and professional attitude and customer service skillsCurrent driver’s licenseA few benefits offered include: (for Non-Craft & Non-Union Craft working 25+ hours / week) Medical and prescription drug plans that includes no additional cost vision coverageDental plan401k retirement plan with a generous Mortenson matchPaid time off, holidays, and other paid leavesEmployer paid Life, AD&D, and disability insuranceNo-Cost mental health tool and concierge with extensive work-life resourcesTuition reimbursementAdoption AssistanceGym Membership Discount ProgramThe base pay range for this role is $78,800 MIN - $98,500 MAX.(Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.This position is eligible for Mortenson’s incentive plan. #LI-### #LI-Onsite Please make note: Visa sponsorship is not offered for this position.
