Infection Prevention Specialist- Corporate level

Infection Prevention Specialist (RN or LPN) Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour Location: Harrisburg, IL (Corporate Office – In Person) WLC Management Firm is seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Infection Prevention Specialist (RN or LPN) to join our corporate team in Harrisburg, IL. This position plays a vital role in supporting and overseeing infection prevention programs across 20 long-term care facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about infection control, quality improvement, and ensuring the highest standards of resident care. Position Summary The Infection Prevention Specialist provides guidance, oversight, and support for infection prevention programs across multiple skilled nursing facilities. While based out of the Harrisburg corporate office, this role may involve occasional travel depending on facility needs. The electronic health care system we utilize is Point Click Care. Key Responsibilities Monitor and oversee infection prevention programs across all assigned facilities Review infection tracking, trends, and reporting through EHR systems (PCC) Ensure compliance with infection control regulations and best practices Provide training and education to facility staff on infection prevention protocols Collaborate with facility Infection Preventionists and Directors of Nursing Assist with outbreak management, prevention strategies, and response planning Promote and support antibiotic stewardship initiatives Ensure proper documentation and regulatory compliance across all locations Qualifications Active RN or LPN license (Required) Minimum 2 years of Infection Prevention experience (Preffered) Minimum 2 years of long-term care experience (Preferred) Strong knowledge of infection control practices and regulations Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement improvements Excellent communication and training skills Ability to work independently and collaboratively Schedule Full-time 8-hour shifts On-call as needed Compensation & Benefits Competitive pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour (based on experience and education) 401(k) Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (BCBS) Life Insurance & Disability Insurance Paid Time Off Work Location In person – Harrisburg, IL corporate office @ 35 South Vine Steet Harrisburg, Illinois 62946 Must be able to relocate prior to start if not local If you are passionate about infection prevention and want to make a meaningful impact across multiple healthcare facilities, we encourage you to apply.
