About the job ALL PIPEFITTERSVenture Dynamics is seeking skilled and experienced Marine Pipefitters to install, modify, fabricate, and repair piping systems aboard Navy and commercial vessels. Marine Pipefitters will read and interpret drawings, route and fit pipe runs, prep joints for welding or brazing, perform system alignments, and support testing requirements. This position requires advanced shipyard pipefitting experience, strong technical accuracy, and the ability to work safely in confined spaces, elevated areas, and industrial shipboard environments.Per diem may be available on select projects depending on contract requirements and travel distance.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, isometrics, P&IDs, and NAVSEA piping specificationsFit, fabricate, route, and install piping systems including copper-nickel, stainless steel, carbon steel, and PVCPerform silver brazing on copper-nickel and other approved piping materialsPrep pipe joints for welding or brazing, including beveling, cleaning, fit-up, and alignment to toleranceInstall valves, flanges, hangers, supports, unions, reducers, and associated hardwareConduct hydrostatic and pneumatic testing including flushing and leak checksRemove, repair, and replace shipboard piping systems and componentsUse pipefitting tools including bevelers, threaders, grinders, saws, levels, and precision measuring devicesWork safely in tanks, voids, bilges, machinery spaces, and other confined or restricted shipboard areasMaintain tool control, follow hot-work rules, and comply with all shipyard and safety proceduresRequirementsMinimum 5 years of pipefitting experience in Navy or commercial ship repair environmentsProven ability to perform silver brazing to shipyard and customer standardsAbility to read and apply shipyard drawings, P&IDs, schematics, and piping layoutsProficiency in pipe layout, fabrication, fit-up, and measurement tolerancesExperience preparing joints for welders and coordinating with welding teamsAbility to safely use hand tools, power tools, cutting tools, and pipe beveling equipmentMust pass background screening and meet shipyard access requirements (DBIDS when required)Ability to work aloft, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding marine environmentsReliable transportation, excellent attendance, and ability to work overtime, nights, weekends, and inclement weather Preferred QualificationsPrior silver brazing certification (MIL-SPEC, AWS, or ABS accepted by customers)Experience working under NAVSEA Standard Items and Navy piping-system requirementsOSHA-10 MaritimeAbility to wear a respirator when required for hot-work, confined-space support, blasting, paint, or insulation areasExperience supporting multi-trade piping or mechanical projects Additional InformationWork occurs aboard ships, in dry docks, and in pipe fabrication or industrial environmentsPPE provided according to project and customer requirements
