Supply & Demand Planning Specialist (Manufacturing)

Be the specialist who turns forecasts into executable schedules and materials plans that keep production flowing.Why this role mattersTranslate sales forecasts and customer orders into weekly, department-level schedules aligned to routings and lead times.Protect service by ensuring raw materials are available via just‑in‑time deliveries and by rigorously managing WIP and FG inventory.Drive performance by measuring output vs. the Master Production Plan and closing gaps with data-driven actions.Core responsibilitiesBuild and publish weekly production schedules; create plant-level production plans and communicate daily plans to Plant and Corporate Supply Chain teams.Plan and sequence department workflows according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.Perform quarterly supply/demand analyses; surface 12–18 month risks and partner with department managers to elevate plant efficiencies.Identify schedule risks and tradeoffs; recommend solutions supported by KPIs.Monitor output vs. plan; define metrics for performance to the requested schedule and lead corrective actions.Support inventory strategy and the supply plan to meet demand, noting resource implications.Ensure raw material availability for planned work orders through JIT deliveries.Own inventory counting and cycle counting; assist in raw material procurement.Prepare and distribute operations-related reporting.Meet customer order requirements; flag constraints early and propose mitigations.Collaborate daily with Procurement, Customer Service, Supply Chain, and internal plant teams to maximize output.Other duties as assigned.You’ll fit if you bringHigh School diploma or GED (required); Bachelor’s degree (preferred).3+ years in production scheduling/planning within manufacturing (beverage, food, plastics).Strong skills in Windows, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, and MRP/ERP platforms; JD Edwards experience is valued.Comfort managing competing priorities; able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.Clear communicator with a record of meeting deadlines in fast-moving environments.Highly proactive, analytical, and forward-looking—anticipates issues and plans ahead.Tools & technologiesERP Software (JD Edwards)You should be proficient in: Production Planning & Scheduling; Excellent Communication Skills; Microsoft Excel.Benefits that support youCompetitive compensationHealth, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insuranceRetirement savings with employer matchEducation Assistance for ongoing developmentWho we areKIK Consumer Products is one of North America’s largest independent manufacturers of consumer goods for the home, pool, and auto.
