As we scale, we are building a best-in-class finance and accounting function to support disciplined growth.Role SummaryD3Energy is seeking a Accounting Associate to run day-to-day accounting processing and operations for a project-based construction business. This is a hands-on role responsible for AR/AP invoice processing, job cost accounting, and maintaining accurate financial and project cost records across multiple active construction projects.The ideal candidate has direct experience in construction accounting, is highly proficient in QuickBooks, and is comfortable working with project management systems such as Procore.Key ResponsibilitiesProcess AR/AP invoicing, including general ledger and reconciliations.Maintain accurate job cost accounting across multiple active construction projectsTrack project budgets, committed costs, actual costs, and cost variancesSupport WIP reporting and percent-complete project trackingCoordinate project financial data between Procore and QuickBooksManage project billings, retainage, and change ordersSupport monthly close and preparation of financial reportsWork closely with project managers to ensure accurate cost coding and reportingCoordinate with external CPA or fractional controller on tax filings, audits, and higher-level accounting mattersRequired Qualifications3-5 years of accounting experienceStrong hands-on experience with QuickBooks / Intuit EnterpriseSolid understanding of job cost accounting, WIP, and project billingComfortable working independently and owning day-to-day accounting functionsStrong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyPreferred QualificationsExperience with construction or project-based accountingExperience using Procore or similar construction project management softwareFamiliarity with percentage-of-completion accountingExperience supporting a growing or entrepreneurial construction company
