(based on experience)/ppPrimary Responsibilities Include:/pulliInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair broadband, CATV, and fiber-optic systems./liliPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on the BB/CATV and HFC plant./liliTroubleshoot system outages and individual customer service issues./liliInstall and maintain fiber drops, interior fiber wiring, ONTs, and customer equipment./liliPerform fiber splicing (fusion and ribbon) for new construction, maintenance, restoration, and customer activation (aerial and underground)./liliConduct forward and return path testing, system balancing, and power supply maintenance./liliSupport service technicians and assist with escalated technical issues./liliAssist with new construction projects including fiber placement, terminal installation, and cutover activities./liliEducate customers on installed services and equipment usage and recommend service upgrades when appropriate./liliMaintain company vehicles, tools, and inventory in a clean and operational condition./liliAccurately locate and mark underground services using prints, test equipment, and mapping software./liliEnsure compliance with all OSHA, FCC, NEC, and local regulations./liliMaintain a professional image through appearance, demeanor, safe driving habits, and customer interactions./liliParticipate in an on-call rotation and work outdoors in all weather conditions./liliPerform additional duties as assigned./li/ulpQualifications/pulliHigh School Diploma or GED required./liliValid state drivers license with a clean driving record./lili35+ years of experience in broadband, CATV, fiber optics, telecommunications, or a related technical field./liliAdvanced knowledge of:/liulliRF and IP technologies/liliHFC design/liliDOCSIS (DOCSIS 3.1 experience preferred)/liliVideo networking and IP-based services/li/ulliExperience with optical and test equipment, including:/liulliOTDR/liliOptical Power Meter/liliOptical Spectrum Analyzer/liliFiber Identifier and Fiber Scope/li/ulliHands-on experience with fiber splicing, fiber terminals, and distribution systems./liliStrong understanding of electronics, DC power, RF, and fiber optic systems./liliAbility to configure and support customer networking equipment, including Wi-Fi routers and TCP/IP./liliStrong computer skills, including Word, Excel, and diagnostic software./liliAbility to work independently, plan work efficiently, and meet deadlines./liliExcellent communication and interpersonal skills./liliAbility to differentiate wire and cable sizes/colors and work in tight or confined spaces./liliPhysically capable of lifting up to 75 pounds and performing tasks requiring bending, climbing, kneeling, and working at heights./liliComfortable working outdoors, in attics, crawl spaces, and other challenging environments./li/ulpWorking Conditions:/pulliFrequent outdoor work in all weather conditions./liliExposure to dust, dirt, noise, heat, insects, and uneven terrain./liliOn-call rotation approximately every 5 weeks./liliSchedule adjustments may occur based on business needs./li/ulpWhy Join Antietam Broadband?/ppWhen you join Antietam Broadband, youll be part of an award-winning company and team.
