Development Manager

Macdonald & Company is partnered with an active affordable housing developer that is continuing to expand its development team and looking to add a Development Manager to support a growing pipeline across California.This is a hands-on role for someone who can take ownership of projects from predevelopment through completion.The RoleThis individual will manage 2–3 projects at a time and be responsible for driving execution across the full development lifecycle, including:Developing project plans, timelines, and overall execution strategyNavigating entitlements and working with municipalities, agencies, and housing authoritiesAssisting in structuring financing plans, including tax credits and various soft funding sourcesManaging due diligence and reviewing key project documentation and agreementsCoordinating with construction teams and third-party partners throughout the build processSupporting project reporting and maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholdersThe role is execution-focused, with an emphasis on getting deals across the finish line.Platform OverviewPipeline of ground-up affordable housing developments across multiple California marketsTypical projects range from mid- to large-scale, often built in phasesLean, collaborative team environment with exposure across the full deal lifecycleWhat They're Looking ForExperience working on affordable housing developments through various phases of the lifecycleFamiliarity with LIHTC and/or other affordable housing financing structuresAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and keep projects on trackStrong organizational and communication skills
