Assistant Branch Manager

Mid Carolina Credit Union is seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Branch Manager to join our growing team. If you're passionate about financial services, leadership, and delivering exceptional member experiences, we want to hear from you!About The RoleAs Assistant Branch Manager, you'll play a vital role in the overall management and success of our branch. You'll partner with the Branch Manager to maximize revenue, drive sales, ensure member satisfaction, and minimize operational losses. This position also handles the full consumer and Home Equity lending process—from application to closing.What You'll DoMember Service & Sales Deliver prompt, efficient, and accurate service to members Provide financial counseling and cross-selling products to meet members’ needs Achieve established sales goals while ensuring compliance with credit union guidelinesConsumer Lending Analyze applicants' financial positions to assess credit risk Manage the entire consumer lending process including loan interviews, documentation, and disbursement Determine collateral requirements and payment plans Approve or deny loan requests within authority limitsBranch Operations & Leadership Assist in directing branch operations, supervising staff, and maintaining facilities Step in for the Branch Manager during their absence Support implementation of promotional campaigns and product initiativesTraining & Development Ensure staff participate in required training programs Facilitate cross-training in designated areasRisk Management & Compliance Balance operational controls to minimize company risk Maintain knowledge of compliance requirements including BSA, Patriot Act, and OFAC regulationsWhat We're Looking ForExperience: 2-5 years of similar or related experience in financial services Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferredEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, or equivalent Commensurate work experience will be consideredSkills & Competencies: Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Intermediate mathematical skills (decimals, fractions, percentages) Capable of motivating, influencing, and educating team members and members Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailWORK ENVIRONMENT Climate-controlled branch office setting Primarily sedentary work with occasional lifting up to 20 lbs Regular computer work (6-8 hours daily) Some travel may be requiredWHY MID CAROLINA CREDIT UNION?We're more than a financial institution—we're a community partner dedicated to helping our members achieve their financial goals.
