Staff Accountant

DescriptionThe accountant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting and transactional accounting processes. This position supports month-end close, intercompany accounting, cash management, and compliance with internal controls while driving process improvements within the SAP financial system.Key Responsibilities+ Assist with and actively support the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, variance analysis, and ensuring adherence to close deadlines.+ Lead preparation of monthly commission and royalty reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely distribution to stakeholders.+ Prepare and post all monthly journal entries in SAP, maintaining proper supporting documentation and adherence to GAAP.+ Perform periodic intercompany reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and coordinate resolutions with cross-functional and affiliate teams.+ Prepare quarterly financial schedules and management reports as directed, supporting internal and external reporting requirements.+ Administer cash receipts processing, accurately applying payments to outstanding receivables and resolving unapplied cash items.+ Perform daily cash reconciliations to ensure alignment between bank activity and the general ledger.+ Ensure all payment processing activities comply with established internal controls and corporate policies.+ Maintain and update vendor master data in SAP, ensuring accuracy and proper authorization.+ Organize and manage vendor payment documentation to support audit readiness and compliance.+ Prepare and issue invoices to group affiliates, ensuring all required supporting documentation is complete and accurate.+ Maintain and reconcile the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation tracking.+ Support audit requests and contribute to continuous process improvements to enhance efficiency and control effectiveness.RequirementsQualifications+ Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.+ 2-5+ years of accounting experience (public or corporate), depending on level.+ Proficiency in SAP or comparable ERP system.+ Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls.+ Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.+ Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multipleWhat Makes This Opportunity Attractive+ Highly accounting-focused role with exposure to full-cycle accounting+ Stable, growing consumer products company+ Collaborative, team-oriented environment+ Clear opportunity for growth within the accounting function+ If you are a detail-driven accounting professional with strong SAP experience looking to deepen your technical accounting skillset in a stable and supportive organization, we would welcome the opportunity to connect.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
