Seasonal Bartender

Position Summary:The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages to guests during live racing, simulcasting, and special events while delivering excellent customer service in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This role ensures responsible alcohol service, accurate transaction handling, and a clean, organized bar area. The Bartender contributes to a positive guest experience while supporting beverage sales and maintaining compliance with all applicable alcohol service regulations.Reports To:Bar SupervisorMajor Duties and Responsibilities:Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with company standards and responsible service practices.Provide friendly, efficient, and professional service to guests at the bar.Verify guest identification and ensure compliance with legal drinking age requirements.Ensure all patrons consuming alcohol are verified as 21+ through wristband identification or valid photo ID, and consistently enforce this standard.Operate point-of-sale systems and accurately process cash and electronic transactions.Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area including glassware, equipment, and supplies.Monitor beverage inventory and notify supervisors when supplies need to be replenished.Follow all safety, sanitation, and alcohol service regulations.Assist with opening and closing bar procedures including stocking, cleaning, and cash reconciliation.Respond to guest inquiries and assist in resolving service concerns when appropriate.Support special events, promotions, and high-volume race day operations as needed.Qualities, Education and Experience:Required High school diploma or equivalentPrior experience in bartending, bar service, or hospitality environmentsBasic cash handling and point-of-sale experiencePreferred Experience working in high-volume bars, entertainment venues, or event environmentsKnowledge of standard drink preparation and beverage serviceExperience in racetrack, casino, or sports venue environmentsLicensing StatusMust be able to obtain and maintain any required racetrack credentials or regulatory access permits if applicable.Must meet all state and local requirements for alcohol service certification if required.Working ConditionsWork is performed in a fast-paced hospitality and entertainment environment.Requires standing for extended periods of time and frequent interaction with guests.May require lifting and carrying beverage supplies, kegs, and bar equipment (up to approximately 40–50 lbs).Exposure to moderate noise levels and high guest traffic during racing events.Schedule includes race days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
