Power Systems Engineer

Job Summary: The Power Systems Engineer will perform reliability power system studies, focusing on steady-state and dynamic stability, to evaluate the impact of inverter-based resource voltage and frequency ride-through performance. This role involves reviewing technical data submissions, supporting the development of processes related to NOGRR 245, providing technical support to cross-functional teams, and working with market participants to implement modifications or exemptions.Location:Taylor, Texas, United StatesResponsibilities:- Performs reliability power system studies, including steady-state and dynamic stability studies.- Reviews technical data related to voltage and frequency ride-through compliance.- Supports the development of processes and procedures to implement NOGRR 245.- Provides technical support for cross-functional project teams.- Works with market participants to understand requirements and facilitate submissions.- Reviews and evaluates requests for extensions and exemptions from voltage and frequency ride-through requirements.- May represent the organization in stakeholder groups.Required Skills & Certifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.Preferred Skills & Certifications:- Experience performing reliability power system studies.- Background in renewable generation resources (Wind, Solar, or Battery).- Experience analyzing voltage levels and relay or protection settings.- Experience with Python, Powerworld, PSSE, or PSCAD.- Good communication skills.Special Considerations:- N/AScheduling:
