Job DescriptionCasual Dining Chef We are interviewing for a high volume Restaurant Chef for our restaurant in Helena, Alabama. The Chef will be accountable for leading the BOH team in our scratch kitchen operation. A solid knowledge of food ordering, inventory and labor control is required. Must work well under controlled chaos and most importantly, embrace a leadership culture where we educate, foster, discipline and empower our staff to succeed and achieve desired results. We do prefer a refined pallet as we consider the culinary prowess of our menu just as superior as any other top dining restaurants. Our mission is to provide a memorable experience through food, beverage and service.QUALIFICATIONS:Must have 3+years of kitchen leadership experience as a Executive Chef or Kitchen Manager, assisting in leading a high-volume, scratch kitchen and possess exemplary technical skills as it relates to;Effectively train & develop a strong team to lead and organize a high volume/quality restaurant. Producing consistent quality food in a timely mannerPossess a high degree of trending culinary and kitchen knowledge that can be communicated and taught to staff in order grow a strong team, build confidence and maintain a high-quality core staff. Strong personal, people and management skills. Must develop solid relationships with vendors, maintain purchase ordering system and staff to attain food and labor cost goals. Exhibit honesty, integrity, be a leader, lead by exampleThis position is very hands-on in nature, one that requires the individual to direct and manage kitchen activities, be an active participant in preparation, working on the line or serving as an expediter as is necessary.
