Embedded Software Verification Engineer Location: Rockford, Illinois (Onsite) Experience: 7–10 Years Salary: $60/hr Job Overview:We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Verification Engineer to support aerospace software validation and certification activities. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in DO-178C processes, embedded systems testing, and hardware/software integration within avionics environments.Key Responsibilities:Lead and execute software verification activities with a team of 5–10 engineersAnalyze software requirements and develop comprehensive test casesDesign and document detailed verification procedures, including coverage analysisExecute test cases on target hardware/software platforms and document resultsPerform Hardware/Software Integration Testing (HSIT), module-level, and low-level testingIdentify, track, and resolve defects in collaboration with development teamsConduct Structural Coverage Analysis (SCA) and Data & Control Coupling Analysis (DCCCA)Ensure compliance with DO-178B/C standardsMaintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and resultsPrepare detailed verification and certification reportsCollaborate with cross-functional teams (system & software engineering)Required Skills & Qualifications:7–10 years of experience in embedded software verificationStrong understanding of DO-178C/DO-178B standardsExperience with HSIT, low-level, and module-level testingHands-on experience with MBIL (Micro Board In Loop) or similar test environmentsExpertise in code coverage and verification analysisKnowledge of Aircraft Electrical Power Distribution SystemsExperience with DCCCA and SCA (mandatory)Preferred Qualifications:Experience with tools like Polarion CM/CR and DOORSMicroprocessor experience: MPC5554, MPC7448Communication protocols: TTP, ARINC 429 (A429)Experience with Secondary Power Distribution Systems (SPDS)Scripting knowledge in Python or TCLPrior experience with Collins Aerospace platforms (preferred) 📩 Interested?Apply now or share your profile via LinkedIn message.📧 You may also send your resume to vighneshwar.gouda@prolim.com
