Join us and advance your career in a supportive and growth-oriented environment.**Work schedule:**8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday**Pay rate:** $19.00 -$21.00/hour, depending on experience**Job highlights:**Repair water and sewer leaks by digging holes and trenches, using backhoes and other equipment, and placing necessary shoringPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on water and sewer lines by unclogging lines using hydro-jets, routers, and hand tools, exercising and/or replacing valves, repairing lift station pumps, testing for low water pressurePerform utility line locatesPerform leak site dress-upRun new main feeders and service linesRead and maintain various flow meters, water interconnects, meters/gauges at lift stations, water booster stations, and other utility appurtenancesRepair water lines in city buildingsMaintain grounds at field operations, lift stations, booster stations, plants, and other facilitiesPerform chlorine tests on new linesClear brush, trees, and other road debris from city streets and place barricades at low water crossing during heavy rains**What we're looking for:**Ability to enter confined spacesAbility to operate a backhoe, dump truck, pump truck, hydro-jet, hand and power toolsAbility to operate electronic leak correlator and acoustic leak sounding systemAbility to give and follow clear instructionsGood communication skillsPunctual, reliable, dependableHigh school diploma or GED – may be substituted for applicable work experienceYou should be proficient in:Equipment TroubleshootingGround Support Equipment (GSE) MaintenanceAerial & Utility Equipment Systems
