We are a dynamic and expanding organisation, with significant growth ambitions.Now we’re looking for a Product & Application Manager – someone who’s ready for a challenging and exciting opportunity, and eager to support our ambitions to build the foundation for strong product growth in the Sales Area Americas.Reporting to the Americas’ Director of Sales, the Product and Application Manager (PAM) is an active member of the Americas Management Team, working closely with the Sales Unit Managers and with the global product management functions.Leading a team of product application engineers, the PAM must proactively deliver product strategy to the Americas' sales areas while actively supporting product and application projects to secure high-volume business. The PAM must also enhance our competencies in areas and target market segments where Dormer-Pramet can succeed and build business cases for new products.The PAM will participate in strategic projects, prepare sales forecasts for new product introductions, follow up, and drive product-led initiatives in all markets within the sales area managers.Additionally, the PAM analyses product and industry trends and shares the findings with stakeholders across the division. It also supports in-house and customer prototype tests and offers field technical support when required.As Dormer-Pramet is present in multiple markets with cultural differences, the PAM must ensure product harmonization and synchronization with the company's business strategy.The role can be based anywhere in the US, but the East Coast is preferred.Your ProfileA Bachelor of Applied Science degree in a related field is required, with eight years of related experience or equivalent experience in a management / supervisory position with a similar industry. Minimum five years of sales experience in the metalworking industry.Strong experience in B2B commerce (direct and indirect channels).Strong technical knowledge of the cutting tools applications.Comprehensive experience in technical product sales, production, and customer interfaces in a global setting.Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.Excellent communication/presentation, oral and written, and practical relationship selling skills. Highly motivated; Strong organizational skills.Disciplined self-starter, ability to multitask, and strong problem-solving skills.Strong customer centric values & service oriented.Must read, write, and speak English fluently. Must be proficient with training and presentation skills to large and small groups.Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. Must possess a current driver’s license valid for his/her state of primary residence. May be required to undergo security clearance screening and obtain it for entry into some customer facilities.
