About the Opportunity:The Security Infrastructure Engineer role is centered on enhancing the security of the organization's product and infrastructure. The position contributes by designing and implementing security controls, auditing systems for vulnerabilities, and supporting engineering teams with security expertise. The role balances software development with operational security responsibilities, helping to advance the safety and reliability of the platform.3. Responsibilities:Design and develop security controls across multiple layers, including cloud platforms, operating systems, Kubernetes, networks, and CI/CD pipelines.Identify and implement security and privacy features, bug fixes, and defense-in-depth measures throughout the codebase.Conduct security audits of infrastructure, identify weaknesses, and drive resolution of issues.Support engineering decisions through threat modeling and security analysis.Allocate 25-50% of time to software development within the security domain.4. Requirements:Expertise in securing cloud platforms, particularly multi-cloud networks and infrastructure, with cloud-agnostic system design.Knowledge of container security, orchestration security, and authentication/authorization mechanisms.Familiarity with internet and web security fundamentals such as WAFs, TLS, PKI, and DNS security.Proficiency in at least one programming language (Go preferred) and Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or Ansible.Experience in technical safety roles, including infrastructure security, security operations, threat modeling, digital forensics, or incident response.Understanding of operating system internals, security mechanisms, and networking protocols.Capability to act as a subject matter expert during security incidents focusing on infrastructure containment and remediation.Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and adaptability to dynamic environments.Ability to apply risk-based approaches balancing security expertise with practical solutions.5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:US Pay Range $163,000—$204,000 USD6.
