Materials Handler II
Warehouse PositionIntake notes 1st shift Monday - Friday. Potential for occasional on call weekend work. Receive incoming material into computer system. Stock inventory. Process and receive work orders. Kit materials for production/support teams. Inventory management. General warehouse/material handling.3-5 years exp. Exp working in an assembly/manufacturing environment. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to navigate ERP systems such as SAP. Forklift exp preferred. Strong team player. Reliable and punctual. Willingness to learn. Accountable and self motivated. Safety focused mindset.Responsibilities:Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.Checks goods received and for distribution against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.Packages and prepares products and merchandise for final shipment and posts weights and shipping charges.Lifts heavy items and may operate a forklift.Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped.Reviews customer orders, examines, stocks and distributes merchandise, products and materials in inventory warehouses, distribution centers or manufacturing lines.Managing the non-inventory items stored for each business unit (moving, labeling, and updating holding lists).Responsible for managing all items allocated for scrap and coordinating with scrap supplier.Manages storage requests for special projects/shipments.Warehouse storage management and space allocation.Coordinate crating requests for all special needs return materials authorizations.Qualifications:Demonstrate mechanical aptitude including ability to use hand tools.Applies general math skills including fractions, decimals, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.Familiar with SAP inventory management a plus.Ability to speak distinctly and see and hear clearly.Adhere to safety procedures consistent with the use of hand and power tools.Physical Demands and Work Conditions The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Job duties are often performed in confined areas in a clean room environment, in awkward positions and/or in high places. Mechanical aptitude, manual dexterity and ability to lift/carry objects up to 35 pounds is required. May require bending/stooping/crawling/climbing. May require the use of Personal Protective Equipment. Duties also include application of proper industry safety procedures when working with dangerous elements or conditions such as chemicals, electric currents or high voltage, moving mechanical parts, radiation, etc. Occasional travel to TEL factories, training facilities and customer locations may be required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. A clean room garment may be required to be worn for lengthy periods of time. PPE is Required including, not limited to, consistent wearing of safety glasses, safety shoes and a bump cap.
