We are actively seeking a skilled and proactive Principal Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for provisioning, installation/conf... operations and maintenance of systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. Location Chantilly, VA. Responsibilities Lead the Windows team in performing their duties, design and architect projects and future technology. Continually keep abreast of new and emerging technology and evaluate for integration into the domain. Manage the configuration and compliance of multiple Windows domains. Maintain the integrity and security of servers and systems through patch approval and processing. Evaluate systems, services and processes suitable for cloud migration and build automated scripts for those functions. Interact with users and evaluate vendor products. Research and recommend hardware and software, coordinate installation, and provide backup and recovery. Monitor policies and standards related to the use of computing resources. Automate standard Windows tasks in PowerShell. Leverage system automation tools to enhance team efficiency. Oversee implementation of testing strategies, development environments, and documentation of results. Provide advice and training to end‑users. Use VMWare to build and maintain virtual machines and provide desktops to users. Responsibilities may involve evenings and weekends with little advanced notice. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline. Minimum of 10 years of related network engineering experience or equivalent combination of education, certifications and work experience. Expertise in Active Directory architecture, management, and deep Group Policy deployment. Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for task automation and software packaging/deployment using SCCM. Experience with VMWare ESXi, VMWare Horizon, and Citrix Virtual Desktop and Applications. Knowledge of PKI and certificate management for domains. AWS and Azure Cloud experience. Desired Skills Centrify (Delinea) Server Suite and Privileged Access Server. Avamar backup software. Knowledge of iSCSI and storage arrays. Networking skills. Clearance Requirement Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
