We strive to inspire and grow our company, our partnerships, our science, and our people, because when we do, we deliver more for patients.Regional Account Director, Southeast will be responsible for managing all aspects of targeted/assigned regional accounts to include all channel and vertical segments. This person will work directly with argenx XFT partners (Market Access, FRMs, Sales, Marketing, Medical, Legal) as the single point of contact responsible for argenx portfolio of products. The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure appropriate access to argenx portfolio of products and optimize access with minimal barriers. The right candidate will possess a broad and deep network of established relationships with key stakeholders within assigned accounts to execute the argenx Access strategy. They will also be responsible for developing, and executing account business plans that deliver on the described requirements. This is a field-based role reporting to the Head of US Regional Access.This is a remote role and the candidate must live in these states: SC, GA, TN, FL, AL, NCRoles and Responsibilities:The ideal candidate will interact with other personnel within the US Market Access team and ultimately be responsible for the implementation of account specific strategies designed to ensure appropriate access. Additionally, the role will be responsible for providing critical, timely, account level competitive intelligence concerning assigned regional payers, home infusion service providers and Specialty Pharmacy partners to stakeholders within the argenx organization. Role will provide insights and recommendations to argenx Market Access Team and assist in the development of strategic plans for argenx portfolio products. Other responsibilities include:Identify, develop and execute business opportunities by focusing on appropriate positioning and messaging of argenx products within targeted customer segmentsIdentify, resolve and communicate appropriate action or process to gain product access for patientsProvide insights and interpretation of Medicare Part B/D and commercial payer coverage policies which may impact access to argenx productsEducate and collaborate with internal stakeholders and other key XFT stakeholders on targeted payer coverage policies for argenx productsProactively identify potential marketplace trends/barriers within targeted accounts as well as overall payer landscape and respond to any identified reimbursement, coverage issues and market access challengesStrategically deploy resources (individual skills and company resources) throughout the lifecycle of the account relationship to maximum impact within the accountAnalyze and understand payer environment, key account business dynamics and priorities, in creating account plan that aligns to argenx business objectives.Develop and grow business partnerships and relationships with key stakeholders within assigned accounts (CEO, CFE, CMO, Director of Pharmacy, Director of Quality or Utilization Management)Review and analyze portfolio performance payer accountsAbility to engage infusion partners in performance related conversations, ensuring performance metrics and continuous improvement processes are in placeExercise sound judgment and oversight to ensure integrity and compliance with argenx Cultural PillarsSkills and Competencies:Deep understanding of US healthcare market, policy, and reimbursementStrategic thinking with strong execution capabilitiesPossess a compliance mindset- with an ability to adhere to defined and appropriate argenx compliance guidelines, policies and proceduresExperience in rare disease, oncology, immunology, or specialty biologicsHigh ethical standardsAbility to translate complex policy into commercial impactStrong communication and stakeholder leadership skillsEducation, Experience and Qualifications:Minimum of 10 years of experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry, Orphan and rare disease experience requiredMinimum 4 years of experience in primary management of targeted payer accountsRecent launch experience in Medical and Pharmacy benefit products requiredKnowledge of Buy and Bill, Medicaid, Medicare B/D, and reimbursement programs requiredEstablished and well documented key contacts with assigned Regional payers is requiredExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience operating in a cross functional, matrix environmentExtensive Travel requiredFor applicants in the United States: The annual base salary hiring range for this position is $200,000.00 - $275,000.00 USD. This range reflects our good faith estimate at the time of posting. Individual compensation is determined using objective, inclusive, and job-related criteria such as relevant experience, skills, demonstrated competencies and internal equity. This means actual pay may differ from the posted range when justified by these factors. Because market conditions evolve, pay ranges are reviewed regularly and may be adjusted to remain aligned with external benchmarks.This job is eligible to participate in our short-term and long-term incentive programs, subject to the terms and conditions of those plans and applicable policies.
