We are currently seeking a Financial Specialist, Spartanburg, a client in the automotive industry, specializing in car manufacturing. This role Long-Term Contract position based in Spartanburg, SC that requires onsite presence. Supports processes for the respective business regions for both investment and indirect costs. Performs analysis necessary to complete and report on the financial results. Processes data within defined processes efficiently & accuratelyRESPONSIBILITIES:Ensures that the forecasting data maintained in the Americas Region and Central Controlling/Munich is in synchSupports budget financial planning and reporting by assisting in the annual budget planning for all applicable cost centersCompiles and analyzes financial information to record transactions and prepare reportsEnsures that all entries are correctly coded and entered respective financial systemsInvestigates discrepancies to make appropriate adjustmentsMaintains monthly actual costs against budgets for department cost centers within RegionActs as the primary liaison for the respective Operations Managers and Department Manager on expense related topicsPerforms other financial operational tasks such as tracking PO requisition in SAPPerforms required Goods Receipts for all POs within the RegionProvides justifications for Investments/spendingResearches, compile, and analyze data related to special projectsSelf-initiatively performs improvement processes and projects for own as well as department relatedAdheres to all Company Group accounting and auditing policies and proceduresSets-up all energy accounts throughout the AmericasEnsures all energy accounts are properly maintained, and monthly payments are processedPrepares and reports monthly energy usage reports to energy manager and AG centrallyResponsible for tracking, maintaining overviews, reporting and communicating of energy consumptionCoordinates and monitors individual expenses to support the adherence of the annual budget, financial planning and reportingPerforms other duties as assigned by Company Group Operations SupervisorQUALIFICATIONS:BA/BS degree in Accounting or Finance Required or Equivalent of 4+ years related professional experience5+ years professional experience in a financial, controlling, or accounting role to include:Experience in reporting, accounting, project management and international finance processes (preferred)REQUIRED SKILLS:5+ years of Microsoft Office experience5+ years’ Financials, Controlling and Procurement systems/ modules experience (SAP preferred)5+ years General Accounting/Financial skillsOrganization skills, self-motivated, ability to multitask across several assignmentsCommunicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writingStrong math and analytical skillsExcellent time management, planning and organization skillsA self-starter with strong attention to detail skillsContribute individually with minimal supervision and as part of a teamSuperior problem-solving skillsPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Work is normally performed in an office, laboratory, manufacturing floor, or machine shop setting where physical work includes, but is not limited to sitting, standing, reaching, kneeling, bending, and lifting up to 25 lbsMust be able to understand and comply with all relevant safety practicesFLSA STATUS/WORKING SCHEDULE:Location: Spartenburg, SC Schedule: Day shift, 40h/w, weekend as required Overtime: as required Assignment Start: ASAPDISCLAIMER:This job description is a high-level overview of general expectations of this position.
