Principal Engineering Project & Program Management

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Engineering Project & Program Management to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Telecommunications & Hardware environment.Location: San Jose, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $225,000 – $325,300 annuallyResponsibilities Direct and manage the execution of critical hyperscale system programs from concept to deployment Lead large, multi-year programs across system architecture, silicon, and hardware engineering Establish governance and risk management frameworks to ensure project predictability and quality Coordinate activities across internal silicon organizations and validation teams to mitigate risks Influence senior technical leaders for alignment on multi-functional issues and resource management Collaborate with hyperscale accounts to gather requirements and direct successful product delivery Set strategy and manage engineering resources while applying Agile principles for high-quality outcomesQualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical/computer engineering with substantial experience in hardware development leadership 15+ years of experience (bachelor's) or 12+ years (master's) leading large-scale, complex system programs Demonstrated leadership in programs involving custom ASICs or advanced semiconductor technologies Strong experience in executive-level decision-making across matrixed organizations without direct authority PMP or PgMP certification is mandatoryBenefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) plan with the company matching contributions Paid parental leave and disability coverage Flexible vacation policy for exempt employees with no limit on time off Paid holidays and additional paid time for personal wellness and volunteer opportunitiesOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
