National Strategy Manager
Job Title: Manager, National Strategy Job Status: Full-time Job Summary: Under general supervision the National Strategy Manager will spearhead efforts to engage the Arab American community by designing and executing the MOVE event and engagement strategy. The national Strategy Manager will also work to align the strategies of the national institutions with the overarching goals of the organization. Will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic initiatives that align with the company’s vision and goals.Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop and manage the Arab American Speakers Bureau, ensuring alignment between the Speakers Bureau objectives and those of the four national institutionsCollaborate with Executive Leadership and the four national institutions to ensure alignment in key strategic areasAnalyze the Arab American nonprofit and activist landscape to inform strategic decisions and program developmentConnect national institutions to create collective strategy towards ACCESS mission and visionWork with the four national institutions to identify and address issues critical to the Arab American community, ensuring MOVE remains relevantOversee the MOVE/ACCESS event planner to ensure effective planning and execution of eventsFoster ongoing engagement with the Arab American community between the MOVE conferences to advance MOVE goalsDevelop and support new initiatives emerging from MOVE panels and programs that advance ACCESS’ national prioritiesStrategize and oversee the MOVE Conference, developing the conference strategy and managing its implementation, including the creation of the conference tracks and sessionsCreate and implement a comprehensive plan to evaluate the effectiveness of MOVE and its alignment with the organization goalsOperate standard office equipment and use required software applicationsPerform other duties and responsibilities as assignedKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of:Advance concepts, practices, and procedures in nonprofit managementStrong interpersonal and communication skillsInitiative DevelopmentExperience in building and maintaining positive business relationshipsExcellent organizational skills, including multitasking, time management, and attention to detailAbility to manage pressure and make good decisions quicklyExperience in marketing or public relationsArab American nonprofit and activist landscapeSkill in:Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control procedures.Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications for program area and other applications, including Microsoft OfficeStrong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-makingExcellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skillsAbility to:Proven success in event planning or coordinationPartner with other functional areas to accomplish objectivesFacilitate and present at meetings, ensuring that all viewpoints, ideas, and problems are addressedOrganize and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlinesHandle stressful situations and provide a high level of customer service in a calm and professional mannerCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writingDefine problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsPlan and execute items necessary in regard to organizing MOVEWork on-site at event as needed, nights, weekends, and travel requiredPartner with other functional areas to accomplish objectivesCommunicate effectively, both orally and in writingUnderstand and follow written and oral instructionsEducational/Previous Experience Requirements:Minimum Degree Required:Bachelor’s degreeMaster’s degree preferredRequired Disciplines:Business Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Nonprofit Management, Meeting and Convention Planning or a related field~and~At least 3-5 years of experience in event planning or any equivalent combination of experience, education and/or training approved by Human ResourcesLicenses/Certifications:Licenses/Certifications Required at Date of Hire: NoneWorking Conditions:Hours: Normal business hours, some additional hours may be requiredTravel Required: None generally required; Local, in-state, national, and international travel, may be up to 10 %Working Environment: Climate controlled office
