With sales of over $19 billion and more than 59,000 employees, the Jim Pattison Group is the second-largest private company in Canada.OverviewThe Fabricator – Class B is a skilled production team member responsible for executing fabrication tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining Pattison ID’s standards for safety, quality, and efficiency. This role requires the ability to interpret technical documentation, operate equipment, and produce basic signage and components independently. The Fabricator – Class B also plays a key role in supporting team development by guiding less experienced employees.Key ResponsibilitiesDemonstrate a proactive safety mindset by recognizing, following, and communicating all workplace safety hazards and proceduresSet up and operate fabrication equipment safely and efficientlyInterpret and work from job travelers, technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to produce parts and assembliesIndependently construct basic signage and fabricated components to required standardsUtilize the MES system to accurately track and transact materials without supervisionFabricate basic plastic parts as required, ensuring quality and precisionInstall ACM (Aluminum Composite Material) onto structures independentlyInspect completed work to ensure it meets quality and customer specificationsProvide guidance and instruction to less experienced team memberSkills And QualificationsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication documentsStrong understanding of fabrication tools, equipment, and processesExperience working with plastics and ACM materials preferredFamiliarity with MES or similar production tracking systemsStrong attention to detail and quality controlEffective communication skills and ability to support team developmentSolid understanding of workplace safety standards and proceduresPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is constantly required to sit and use hands to operate the telephone, type and operate computer and mouse.Regularly required to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time.Occasionally required to stand, walk, or move throughout a production or fabrication facility.Ability to lift and handle materials or samples weighing up to 25 lbs.
