The PositionThe Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist plays a critical role in the day-to-day medical billing operations at IRG. This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable processes while building strong relationships through excellent customer service with clinical staff, patients, and insurance partners.This is a position that offers a hybrid schedule, with three days onsite at the IRG Administrative Office and two days remote each week.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with team members to resolve billing issues and continuously improve workflowsCommunicate effectively with providers, patients, and insurance representatives to address billing inquiries and resolve discrepanciesGenerate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly billing and A/R reports to support operational and financial decision-makingAnalyze claim denials, contact payors, submit corrections, and manage appeals as neededMaintain accurate accounts receivable records, including posting payments, processing credits/refunds, and managing account balancesIdentify opportunities to streamline billing processes to improve accuracy and efficiencyParticipate in system upgrades and enhancements related to billing and reporting softwareQualifications & RequirementsMinimum of 2+ years of medical billing experience preferredWorking knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codesFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) and practice management systemsStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasksExcellent attention to detail and data entry accuracyAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a teamPhysical Demands & Working ConditionsAbility to work for extended periods at a computer workstationRegular use of a keyboard and video display terminalPhysical activity may include bending, reaching, lifting, and prolonged sitting or standingReliable transportation required for onsite work at the IRG Administrative OfficePay & BenefitsBase pay: $24-$27 per hour, depending on experienceBenefits eligibility is based on hours worked; not all benefits apply to all employeesBenefits may include:Paid Time Off (holidays, vacation, sick, and personal time)Continuing education fundsStudent loan repayment program401(k) with employer matchMedical, dental, and vision insuranceHealth Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Long-term disability coverageLife and AD&D insuranceJoin IRGBe part of a team of like-minded professionals who are passionate about patient-centered care, community connection, and a collaborative, upbeat work culture.DISCOVER MORE ABOUT IRG: https://www.irgpt.com/about-irgOTHER OPEN POSITIONS: www.irgpt.com/careersWHAT SETS IRG APART: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jRbIxLKsc1kIRG is an equal opportunity employer.
