Production Machine Operator
Job DescriptionRole Overview: Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Electronics Assembly Machine Operator is tasked with the operation and maintenance of machinery involved in the assembly of electronic components. The role involves close collaboration with the engineering team to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.Key Responsibilities:Utilize work instructions to navigate and manage the assembly process effectively. Lead safety and compliance discussions. Make use of materials provided by process engineering to carry out tasks, ensuring equipment runs correctly and safely on a daily basis. Notify the supervisor promptly if any equipment malfunctions. Conduct all required preventative maintenance for machine operation and document it according to the "Good Documentation Practices Procedure" using appropriate logs. Maintain cleanliness and order in the work area. Adhere to quality standards as per the company’s mission and commitment. Keep thorough records of production data and any maintenance or repair work performed on machinery. Qualifications:A minimum of an associate degree is preferred, or a High School Diploma or GED, and the ability to complete all required training classes in lieu of a degree. 1 to 3 years of experience in electronics assembly is required. Experience:At least 1-2 years of experience in electronics or SMT with various components. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Proficiency in component identification. Familiarity with bills of materials, assembly drawings, product-specific documentation, work instructions, and other general documents. Knowledge of IPC-610 standards across all classifications. Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in English, both spoken and written. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate. Licensure:Not applicable. Working Conditions:Frequent use of hands and tools is required. Work in an ESD environment with appropriate ESD equipment. Ability to operate a computer. Involves stooping, bending, stretching, and reaching. May require extended periods of sitting, standing, or walking. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary. Ability to lift a minimum of forty (40) pounds. Willingness to cross-train into other departments. Other Physical Requirements:Adequate vision, hearing, and touch abilities to perform job functions effectively. Use of ESD equipment as required.
