Engineering Project Manager

Job Title: Engineering Project ManagerRole OverviewLooking for a Project Management resource to provide project controls and coordination support to the 765kV Engineering Team, covering both Substation (Station) and Transmission Line engineering activities. The PM will focus on communication, action tracking, schedule reporting, and leadership visibility to enable efficient execution of engineering deliverables.Key ResponsibilitiesMeeting Support and CoordinationAttend all regularly scheduled and ad hoc engineering meetings related to 765kV station and line engineering, including: Engineering coordination meetingso Design review meetingso Interface meetings with other project disciplineso Prepare meeting agendas as needed in coordination with engineering leads.o Capture, consolidate, and distribute clear and concise meeting notes, including:o Decisions madeo Action itemso Assigned owners and due dates2.2 Action Item Tracking and Follow-Up Maintain a centralized action item log for station and line engineering activities. Track progress of action items, including engineering deliverables and inter-discipline dependencies. Proactively follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely completion.Highlight overdue or at-risk action items to engineering leads and project leadership.2.3 Status Reporting and Leadership Updates Prepare regular written and/or dashboard-style status updates for project leadership, including:o Overall engineering progresso Key accomplishments during the reporting periodo Upcoming milestoneso Risks, issues, and required leadership decisions Consolidate input from both station and line engineering teams into a single, coordinated report. Support preparation of materials for leadership briefings and gate reviews.2.4 Schedule Tracking and ReportingSupport development, maintenance, and reporting of engineering schedules for 765kV station and line scopes. Track planned vs. actual progress for key engineering milestones. Identify schedule variances, emerging risks, and potential impacts to downstream activities. Prepare regular schedule summary reports suitable for leadership review. Coordinate with engineering leads to validate schedule updates and forecast completion dates.DeliverablesThe Project Manager will be responsible for producing and maintaining the following deliverables:Meeting agendas and distributed meeting minutesEngineering action item logWeekly or bi-weekly engineering status reportsSchedule status and variance reportsLeadership briefing materials as requestedInterfaces and CoordinationThe Project Manager will interface closely with:Station Engineering LeadsLine Engineering LeadsProject Management Organizations and Scheduling teamsTransmission StandardsOther project disciplines as required (construction, procurement, permitting, etc.)Project and executive leadershipExclusionsThe Project Manager will not be responsible for performing detailed engineering design.The Project Manager will not approve technical engineering decisions but will facilitate documentation and communication of decisions made by engineering leads.
