Personal Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated female Personal Support Specialist to provide assistance and care for individuals in need. As a Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in helping seniors and individuals with disabilities maintain their independence and improve their quality of life. Duties: - Provide direct support to individuals in various settings, such as nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or private homes - Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting - Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and restrictions - Administer medication as directed by healthcare professionals - Assist with mobility and transfer of individuals, utilizing proper lifting techniques and equipment - Monitor and report changes in individuals' physical or mental condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals - Engage individuals in meaningful activities to promote socialization and mental stimulation - Maintain a clean and safe environment for individuals Experience: - Previous experience in senior care, nursing homes, or home care is preferred - Knowledge of ADLs and experience providing personal care assistance - Familiarity with proper lifting techniques and equipment for safe transfers - Ability to follow instructions from healthcare professionals - Strong communication skills to effectively interact with individuals and their families - Compassionate and patient demeanor As a Support Specialist, you will have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those you care for.
