Job Overview
The Apparel Sourcing & Supply Chain Lead assumes ownership of day‑to‑day apparel sourcing and production execution while serving as a key point of contact for supply chain timing, calendars, and inbound flow. This role combines deep, hands‑on vendor management and WIP tracking with ownership of production calendars and cross‑functional communication across the business.
Key Responsibilities
Lead day‑to‑day sourcing and management of fabric, trim, and garment suppliers, including MOQs, lead times, pricing, and performance.
Create and track purchase orders and WIP from issuance through ex‑factory, working directly with vendors to resolve delays, material shortages, and capacity constraints.
Build, update, and own production calendars and detailed production schedules, ensuring alignment with sales programs, customer requirements, and inventory targets in partnership with the Planning Manager.
Act as the go‑to contact for cross‑functional questions on production status, inbound flow, and key supply chain dates, escalating risks and proposing solutions.
Maintain detailed cost sheets (fabric, trims, labor, freight, duty, landed cost) and support cost‑saving initiatives while protecting margin targets.
Manage factory certifications and vendor scorecards, tracking cost, quality, delivery, and compliance metrics.
Coordinate closely with inbound and outbound logistics on shipping plans, booking timing, and delivery priorities.
Provide clear, timely updates on production and shipment status to Planning, Merchandising, Sales, Operations, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Textiles/Fashion, or a related field; equivalent experience in apparel sourcing/production may be considered in lieu of a degree.
3–5 years of experience in apparel sourcing, production, or supply chain; uniform/workwear or program business experience preferred.
Direct experience working with overseas factories or mills, including WIP tracking, production calendars, and issue resolution.
Solid understanding of basic garment construction, fabrics, and cost components (FOB, freight, duty, landed cost).
Strong Excel skills
Highly organized and detail‑oriented, able to manage multiple programs, calendars, and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
Clear, professional communicator with the ability to collaborate across Merchandising, Sales, Planning, Operations, Logistics, and global vendors.
Demonstrated strong sense of urgency in communication with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Experience with an apparel ERP system; familiarity with A2000 or a similar fashion ERP is preferred to manage POs, WIP, and reporting.
Strong understanding of import requirements for apparel, including documentation, classifications, and compliance considerations for inbound shipments.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Warehouse and office environment; exposure to typical warehouse conditions.
May require occasional lifting, standing, or walking for extended periods, and periodic overtime during peak seasons.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
