Senior Environmental Test Engineer

THIS ROLE WILL HAVE A FAST TRACKED PROGRESSION ROUTE TO LAB MANAGERWe’re looking for a Senior Environmental Test Engineer who would like a fast-track progression route to running this companies Environmental Lab Operations to lead and execute environmental qualification programs for a wide range of products across aerospace, defense, and commercial applications.You’ll work to industry standards including MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160, supporting both internal and client-driven test programs.Key Responsibilities:Plan, execute, and oversee environmental test programs including: vibration (random, sine, shock, pyroshock), thermal cycling and thermal vacuum (TVAC), humidity, altitude, and combined environment testingPerform “shake and bake” testing, integrating mechanical and thermal stressesDevelop and review test procedures in accordance with MIL-STD-810 and DO-160Set up and operate environmental test equipment (vibration tables, thermal chambers, TVAC systems).The Ideal Candidate Will Have:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in environmental or qualification testingHands-on experience with: thermal vacuum (TVAC) and thermal testing & vibration and shock testingStrong working knowledge of MIL-STD-810 and RTCA DO-160Experience in a test lab, aerospace, or defense environment.
