We are hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Health Screening Team for one of our clients in DeLand, FL.Job Description:Assist in the performance of health evaluations with referral to the Specialist, Student Health and Wellness as needed.Maintain supplies and keep health room and work area clean and neat.Assist in the management of health problem referrals.Assist in the provision of routine health screenings, referrals and follow-up of students.Review and interpret student health records for compliance to Florida Statutes.Assist in establishing preventative dental programs for school sites.Maintain appropriate and accurate documentation of screenings, record review and dental programs.Other duties as assigned by the Principal, Specialist, Student Health and Wellness or Nursing Supervisor.Education & Experience Required:High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalentCompletion of a training program to become a medical assistant, or a certified nursing assistantTwo (2) years of experience in providing nursing or direct patient care services of a medical nature in a public health, hospital, clinic, infirmary, or nursing/convalescent home preferredCurrent CPR and first aid certificationPossess a valid Florida Driver's License; if a holder of any other valid US state-issued Driver's License, agree to acquire a Florida Driver's License within thirty (30) days of employment, except in a case where accommodation is requiredSkills required:Ability to administer medications safely and accuratelyAbility to maintain confidentiality of student health issuesAbility to communicate clearly with parents, physicians, other health care workers, faculty and school administratorsAbility to communicate with students on their cognitive levelAbility to assist in the provision of health assessmentsDemonstrated knowledge of Infection Control Principles and Universal PrecautionsREPORTS TO Specialist, Student Health and Wellness in collaboration with the principal.About Us:
