Dental AssistantCoordinates the daily activities of the dental associates. Maintains equipment, supplies, operatory area(s), and delivery of quality dental servicesResponsibilities:Prepares operatory prior to examination/treatment by setting up instruments consistent with procedure to be performedAssists dentist at chair-side during examination and treatment of patients with suctioning, reflecting tissues, passing instruments, and the preparation and handling of dental materials and medicamentsPerforms dental laboratory procedures including, model pouring and trimming and fabricating mouth guardsDevelops and maintains dental x-rays during patient proceduresCleans, bags, and sterilizes instruments used and is responsible for tray set-upsAssists in ordering, stocking, and dispensing inventory items, and maintaining the inventory control systemMaintains equipment, supplies, and overall clinical facility as outlined in departmental policies and proceduresMay participate in training of department's dental assisting students, as directed by managementPerforms related duties as required.
