Quality Improvement SpecialistLocation: Mid-City Los AngelesSchedule: Hybrid, 2-3 days onsiteCompensation: $33 to $35 per hourPosition Type: Long-Term Contract (1 year plus)Our nonprofit client, a mission-driven organization serving children and families in Los Angeles, is seeking a Quality Improvement Specialist to support their Child and Family Resource Center (CFRC) program.This role is responsible for ensuring full compliance with LA County Department of Mental Health (DMH) standards, State regulations, and internal policies. The program is newly launched, and this position will play a key role in building and strengthening quality assurance processes. Key ResponsibilitiesCoordinate with LA County DMH to ensure compliance with State standardsAudit clinical documentation for Medi-Cal, Short Doyle, and EPSDT complianceConduct spot checks in Welligent Prepare for State Audit Reviews and LA County DMH Program ReviewsGenerate monthly compliance and quality reportsProvide QA/QI feedback to staff and support new hire documentation trainingMonitor HIPAA compliance and clinical risk standardsPartner with Program Manager and Clinical Supervisors to address service delivery gapsSupport data collection and program evaluation effortsParticipate in Quality Improvement meetings internally and with DMHQualificationsMaster's degree highly preferred (MSW, MFT, Psychology, Counseling or related field)Minimum 3 years of mental health services experienceDirect LA County DMH experience requiredStrong knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation standardsExperience with Welligent or EXYM software systems preferred. Strong Excel and reporting skillsCollaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in an evolving programBilingual in Spanish preferred This is a long-term contract opportunity within a collaborative, energetic, and mission-focused nonprofit environment
