LOCATION: ProMedica Flower Hospital - ProMedica Flower Hospital is the work location only. It is not the employer. JOB SUMMARY: We have 1 Full-Time position available at ProMedica Flower Hospital scheduled 5 days a week including every other weekend. SCHEDULE: Full-time 1st Shift, 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. PAY: $15.00 per hour + Shift Differential on Saturday and Sunday JOB DUTIES: Assist with unloading of clean linen and loading of soiled linen onto COMTEX trucks Counts, prepares and weighs linen as needed for delivery to units or return to COMTEX Delivers carts to linen using areas though operation Ensures each linen using area has sufficient carts for soiled linen Manually delivers carts to units that are not accessible Communicates effectively with hospital staff and representatives of COMTEX Informs COMTEX Customer Relations Specialists of any service related problems Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area and immediately reports any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards Performs other related duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS: Models COMTEX Mission and Honor Code through daily actions, decision making and priority setting. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Ability to stand on feet for the entire shift Ability to push and pull wheeled carts up to 500 lbs Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Ability to deal with others effectively. Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position. Ability to operate related equipment. Ability to organize work. OTHER JOB DUTIES: Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing. Participates in and coordinates with organizational process to collect and evaluate information about hazards and safety practices that are used to identify safety management issues. Adheres to established policies and procedures, which may include wearing of personal protective equipment. Participates in and fosters a performance improvement approach that includes both intradepartmental and interdepartmental activities.
