Project Manager onsite in Rochester NY

Job Title: Project ManagerLocation: 800 Lee Rd, Rochester NY 14623 (100% on site)Duration: 3+ Months Contract to HireHours: M-F, 8a-5pJob ResponsibilitiesProvides construction management, architectural design, and code compliance support in the Facilities Management group.Coordinates work of contractors and interfaces with customers to accommodate program requirements.Typical projects include building renovations, capital infrastructure improvements, equipment installations, and associated site work to support the relocation or expansion of personnel and assets in support of changing business needs.Responsibilities cover all phases of project management including evaluation of requirements, estimating, scheduling, budget management, design oversight, construction management, and project closeout.Role is customer focused, metric driven, and has an expectation of value engineering, process efficiencies, and cost improvements.Utilizes business operating systems to deliver continuous improvement and operational excellence to all aspects of the department.Manages several projects at one time, having sole responsibility for large to small projects and supporting additional projects as a team member, engineering, or construction management resource.Works in a diverse and changing environment supporting many internal and external customers simultaneously.Works closely with Facilities Maintenance and Operations teams.Supports the development of capital and expense budgets for the corporation.Ability to obtain a U.S. security clearance.May require up to 30% travel as needed.ResponsibilitiesDevelops, tracks and manages project budget, project plans, timelines and scopeManage project resources including procuring project staff, developing, motivating, coaching and advisingPartner closely with other members of functional†project†teams to define business requirementsLead teams of developers in the delivery of high-quality software solutions that meet business needsDefine test plans and ensure that products are defect free before User Acceptance TestingFacilitate the User Acceptance Testing process, developing rollout plans and proceduresPrepare and present cost-benefit analysesEnsure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilizedMake presentations to steering committees or project sponsorsQualificationsBachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required5-7 years experienceProven project management experiencePeople management and team building skillsDemonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing prioritiesProven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organizationStrong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functionsExperience delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment
