Is accountable for providing lactation consultation and education services. Provides breastfeeding assistance, support and education to patients. Performs hands on lactation consultation services on an outpatient and inpatient basis. Evaluates specific lactation problems by telephone and develops a management and follow-up plan of care when indicated.
