Milkweed Creative + Breakfast Wine LLC is an independent restaurant group located in Kansas City, Missouri, that includes Earl’s Premier + Provisions, Bacaro Primo and Sea Capitán Cocina Costera.
A new concept, Sea Capitán Cocina Costera focuses on the coastal cuisine of Mexico in a fun upscale-casual setting located in the South Plaza neighborhood. The space has an emphasis on enlightened service and a well-trained staff, continuing our company's value on warm hospitality above everything. Featuring a modern take on classic coastal Mexican dishes inspired by high quality fresh seafood, alongside a thoughtfully-curated agave focused beverage program.
Who you are:
Seeking a self-motivated Restaurant Manager to assist with the daily operational success of Sea Capitán, while ensuring a superior guest experience through a high level of hospitality and service. The Restaurant Manager works closely with the General Manager and provides leadership and support, joining our team of service-oriented professionals.
What we need from you:
2+ years of restaurant management experience required.
Additional serving, bartending, or bar management experience is preferred.
Proficiency in a variety of restaurant management computer software programs (Google Suite, Toast POS, Tock, Restaurant365 and more)
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
What you’ll do:
Have a passion for hospitality first and foremost, and lead by that example, understanding what contributes to a guest having a memorable experience.
Train, mentor, and lead a diverse team to ensure that all service standards are aligned with company values while holding employees accountable, evaluating and/or following disciplinary procedure when necessary.
Collaborate with the management team on all guest feedback, seeking opportunities to improve the guest experience and strengthen a devoted base of regulars.
Asist in scheduling FOH staff in accordance to seasonal business demands and labor percentages.
Manage a combination of lunch, Sunday brunch and dinner services, providing support to all FOH&BOH staff and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed.
Assist in managing front desk hospitality, including the supervision of host staff. Drive sales by maximizing the number of guests we can effectively accommodate each service.
Identify challenges and create solutions using sound judgement to make decisions that are best for both the short term and long-term health of the business.
Assist General Manager with monthly food & beverage inventories and weekly orders ensuring that appropriate physical inventory is always available.
Ensure all health and safety standards are met, and kept in accordance with local mandates.
