US Farathane is seeking an experienced Quality Auditor on 3rd shift. This position is responsible for supporting the Quality System, including auditing in-process product per instructions, as well as all associated documentation and performing the duties of Receiving and Dock and Seatback areas auditing as needed.
US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane has continued to grow each year. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPEs and TPOs as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.
Essential Functions
Perform receiving inspection and dock auditing (if applicable)
Perform in-process inspection of product to determine compliance to customer requirements
Ensure to gauge every part as part of the job duties
Use the equipment for measuring parts as necessary and customer requirements
Perform the production readiness with Team lead and production supervisor
Perform the daily / hourly checks that are in the inspection sheets depending on the product
If the process is not followed up – needs to be escalated to production and Quality supervisor, and if necessary, request a deviation.
Use and maintain essential quality equipment as it pertains to your job functions.
Maintain variable charts per blueprint and/or customer requirements (if applicable)
Assist in sort operations as needed
Adhere to all company policies and procedures (i.e. quality policy manual, associate handbook, etc.)
Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas
Strong attendance is a key expectation for this role. To be eligible to apply for the position internally, your attendance points may not be higher than 5 positive points.

Qualifications

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to read and write in English
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
Ability to write simple correspondence, and to speak and present information effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
Good organizational and communication skills
Ability to do simple math: addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
Ability to add positive and negative numbers
Knowledge of quality systems and standards, inspection techniques and simple measurement instrument usage
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
Intermediate computer skills required, focusing on the use of Excel for completing inspection records
Comply with all internal and OSHA required safety procedures
Assure that all Quality Alerts are being followed for any products being sorted
Capable of performing Gage R&R and capability studies

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee must not wear any loose-fitting clothing that may get in the way of the moving machinery. The employee is occasionally exposed to extreme heat and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
