Dispatch Coordinator

Five Star Logistics – Dispatch Coordinator Five Star Logistics is a full-service 3PL transportation division providing LTL, Truckload, and Rail services to our customers for over 17 years. For additional information about us, please visit www.fivestarlogisticsinc.com We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Trucking Dispatch Coordinator to support daily dispatch operations. This role is ideal for someone organized, communicative, and comfortable working in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will assist dispatchers with coordinating drivers, managing paperwork, invoicing and ensuring on-time deliveries. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule, generally 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Responsibilities: Assist dispatchers with daily load scheduling and driver coordination Communicate with drivers regarding routes, delivery times, and issues Update load status, delivery confirmations, and trip records Handle paperwork including BOLs, rate confirmations, and delivery receipts Answer phones, emails, and respond to customer inquiries Daily invoicing Load booking Qualifications Previous experience in trucking, logistics, or dispatch preferred (training available) Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work under time-sensitive conditions Basic computer skills (email, spreadsheets, dispatch software) Dependable, punctual, and professional attitude At St. Charles Trading/Five Star Logistics We Offer: Medical, dental, vision, employer paid life, voluntary life, and EAP Base plus commission Benefits start on the 1st of the month following 30 days of employment An employee gym 401(k) plan with a company match Job Type: Full-time Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) Dental insurance Health insurance Vision insurance Experience: Dispatch: 1 year (Required) Trucking: 1 year (Required) Logistics: 1 year (Required) Work Location: In person
