Group and Event Sales Manager

Job Description Description:Cragun’s Resort on beautiful Gull Lake is looking for an experienced and energetic Group Sales Manager to join our expanding team! The ideal candidate for this position is someone who thrives on building client relationships to drive new and repeat business to our expanding and legendary resort.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Driving revenue in all areas of the resort, including rooms, cabins, food and beverage, recreation, marina, golf and dining outletsMaintain current client relationships while proactively prospecting for new businessAchieve individual revenue booking goals consistentlyWork collectively with other members of the sales team to accommodate the most profitable business for the resortAttend and network within industry and community organizations to establish business contactsWork collaboratively with the resort management team to continually improve resort product and servicesConduct professional site inspections of the resort to help secure the businessRespond to all leads and inquiries in a complete and timely mannerProactively guide clients through the sales process, asking probing questions to properly sell to the clients’ needs to deliver a “wow” experience for their guestsComplete contracts and other correspondence in a timely and professional mannerWork independently and proactively to complete sales calls and drive revenue in assigned marketsOccasional travel required for sales trips, industry events, trade shows, etc., particularly to the Twin Cities marketPerform special projects and other duties as assignedRequirements:Minimum of two years of resort or hotel sales experience preferredExperience selling to the Government and Association markets is a plusBasic knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook requiredWorking knowledge of Maestro, and Salesforce a plus, but will trainAbility to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting is requiredMust have excellent verbal and written communication skillsPosition may require some evenings and weekends based on business needsPosition reports to the Director of Revenue and MarketingFull Time BenefitsMedical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceSupplemental Life Insurances401K with company matchPaid Time Off PackageIncredible resort discounts on Lodging, Dining, Marina Rentals, Golf, Use of Indoor Pool and other amenities
