Maintenance Manager

Job Description About the Role:The Maintenance Manager will oversee all maintenance operations within our accommodation and food services facilities, ensuring that all equipment and infrastructure are operating efficiently and safely. This role is critical in minimizing downtime through effective predictive and preventive maintenance strategies, thereby supporting uninterrupted service delivery. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of technicians and coordinate with other departments to prioritize maintenance tasks aligned with operational goals. They will also be responsible for managing budgets, sourcing parts, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Ultimately, this position ensures the longevity and reliability of all plant and facility systems, contributing directly to the overall guest experience and operational excellence.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in maintenance management within the accommodation, food services, or a related industry.Proven expertise in predictive and preventive maintenance techniques.Strong knowledge of electrical systems, boilers, and maintenance operations.Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a maintenance team.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in Maintenance Management or related professional credentials.Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies and continuous improvement initiatives.Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Experience managing maintenance in large-scale hospitality operations.Knowledge of regulatory compliance specific to accommodation and food service facilities.Responsibilities:Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance plans including predictive and preventive maintenance schedules for all facility equipment and systems.Supervise and mentor maintenance staff, providing training and guidance to enhance team performance and technical skills.Manage daily maintenance operations, including troubleshooting, repairs, and routine inspections of electrical systems, boilers, and other critical plant equipment.Collaborate with plant management and other departments to align maintenance activities with production and service schedules, minimizing operational disruptions.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards, conducting regular audits and maintaining accurate maintenance records.Oversee inventory management for maintenance supplies and coordinate with vendors for procurement and service contracts.Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize maintenance workflows and improve overall facility efficiency.Skills:The Maintenance Manager will apply their expertise in maintenance management daily to develop and execute maintenance strategies that reduce equipment downtime and extend asset life. Skills in predictive and preventive maintenance allow for proactive identification and resolution of potential issues before they impact operations. Knowledge of electrical systems and boilers is essential for troubleshooting and ensuring safe, reliable plant operations.
