Mentor Coordinator
Position Title: Mentor CoordinatorHOURS: Full-time (40 hours/week), salaried, exemptBENEFITS: Medical, retirement, vacation, sick leave, and holidays per College for Kids personnel policiesREPORTS TO: Mentor ManagerPOSITION OVERVIEW:The Mentor Coordinator supports mentor recruitment, engagement, and program compliance. This position ensures effective coordination of mentor support services, working closely with the Mentor Manager to foster meaningful mentor-mentee relationships and enhance program impact.RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist the Mentor Manager in developing and executing a countywide mentor recruitment plan and time-task calendar to increase mentor participation.Support the delivery of mentor orientation, ongoing training workshops, and virtual student career workshops featuring mentors.Serve as a brand ambassador for College for Kids (CFK) in the community.Oversee the collection and tracking of mentor sessions, ensuring weekly meetings occur and are recorded for compliance with the Balanced Scorecard (BSC).Develop mentor content for a student-focused Monthly Program Newsletter and feature Mentor Success Stories.Schedule speakers and review presentations for the biweekly Future Makers and Tools for Trade SeriesFacilitate the onboarding of new mentors, assist in mentor-mentee matching, and maintain mentor files, databases, and Constant Contact communications.Assist with the Annual Mentor Survey and coordinate mentor recognition events.Ensure mentoring occurs in approved settings, including school property and virtual platforms.Collaborate with school liaisons, college readiness coaches, and program staff to monitor mentor-mentee meetings and facilitate introductions.Respond to mentor and potential mentor inquiries within 24-48 hours.Support compliance with program requirements, performance metrics, grant deliverables, and organizational reporting needs. Be available for late afternoon, early evening hours, and some weekends as needed.Perform other duties as assigned to support the program's success.QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Constant Contact, and Facebook Groups.Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.Excellent work ethic and interpersonal skills.Experience in volunteer recruitment and the ability to implement innovative mentor engagement strategies.Strong presentation skills for mentor recruitment and training.Ability to plan and execute mentor appreciation and recognition events.Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, during event periods.Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel within Palm Beach County. Passion for supporting youth, with an understanding of the challenges faced by low-income students and their families.
