DescriptionJob Title: CollectorJob SummaryBlitt & Gaines, P.C. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Collector to join our dynamic Collections team. In this role, you will represent our firm and its clients by managing and recovering past-due accounts while maintaining a professional, respectful, and customer-centric approach. You’ll engage directly with consumers and authorized third parties, negotiate payment solutions, and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.If you're a strong communicator, a skilled negotiator, and thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment, we’d love to connect with you.Essential DutiesManage a high volume of inbound and outbound calls in a fast-paced collections environmentMaintain and update assigned accounts within the collections system dailyMonitor and respond to client voicemail boxes, documenting and resolving messages promptlyNegotiate payment arrangements and settlements in accordance with company and client guidelinesAccurately update customer account information and notes Verify and confirm customer account details and banking informationProcess secure payments and update payment methods as needed Investigate and resolve discrepancies on accountsCommunicate professionally with consumers, attorneys, and third-party representativesEnsure adherence to all applicable federal and state laws (e.g., FDCPA) and client/firm compliance policies Assist the team with projects and other departmental tasks assignedPerformance ExpectationsPerformance is measured monthly through scorecards evaluating:Productivity metricsCompliance with regulatory and internal standardsAttendance and punctualityPerformance is benchmarked against peers with rankings provided.Education/ExperiencePrevious collections experience requiredHigh school diploma required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferredExperience in collections, customer service, sales, call centers, or QA is a plusFamiliarity with collections software and systems (e.g., CLS, Microsoft Office Suite)Solid understanding of federal and state debt collection laws, including FDCPAKnowledge/Skills/AbilitiesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong negotiation and problem-solving abilitiesHigh attention to detail and organizational skills Professional demeanor with a customer-first attitudeAbility to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectivelySelf-motivated, accountable, and able to work independentlyPositive mindset with adaptability and drive to learnComfortable working in a performance driven, bonus structured environment What We OfferCompetitive base payMonthly performance-based bonus opportunities Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid HolidaysComprehensive benefits package: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life InsuranceShort-Term Disability 401 (k) retirement planProfit sharing Professional Growth and Advancement OpportunitiesJoin Our TeamAt Blitt & Gaines, P.C., we’re committed to fostering a supportive, inclusive, and high-performance workplace.
