The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader, with both Accounting and Finance experience, who can operate independently, build structure, and drive both accounting excellence and business insights in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesCore Accounting & Financial CloseLead and manage the monthly process across multiple entitiesEnsure timely & accurate preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAPOversee general ledger activity, journal entries, account reconciliations, and close schedulesMaintain and enforce standardized accounting policies and procedures across entitiesReview and approve accounting transactions and ensure proper documentationManage intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and consolidationsAudit, Compliance & Internal ControlsPrepare audit schedules, support documentation, and resolve audit findingsDevelop, implement, and continuously improve internal controls and compliance processesEnsure adherence to GAAP, regulatory requirements, and company policiesIdentify and mitigate financial and operational risksCost Accounting & Inventory ManagementLead cost accounting processes, including standard costing, variance analysis, and margin analysisPartner with operations to monitor inventory valuation, turnover, and obsolescenceEnsure accurate inventory accounting and reconciliation across systemsSupport manufacturing & supply chain teams with cost insights and financial analysisDrive improvements in inventory controls and costing methodologiesFinancial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) SupportPartner with FP&A on budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelingAnalyze financial results and provide variance explanations vs. budget and prior yearSupport development of KPIs and performance reporting dashboardsAssist in monthly reporting packages and management presentationsRetail Finance & Operational SupportSupport financial reporting and analysis for retail operationsMonitor retail performance metrics, including sales, margins, and inventory trendsAnalyze costs and identify opportunities for improved profitability and efficiencyPartner cross-functionally with sales, operations, and marketing teamsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred)10–15+ years of progressive accounting experience, including multi-entity environmentsStrong expertise in financial close, GAAP reporting, and audit managementExperience with cost accounting, inventory, and operational financeExposure to FP&A and financial analysis strongly preferredExperience in retail and manufacturing preferredProficiency with Business Central, Sage ERP’s & MicroSoft applicationsStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsProven ability to lead, prioritize, and operate in a fast-paced environmentSuccess ProfileStrong technical accountant with a hands-on approachProcess-oriented leader who can build and improve structureDetail-driven with the ability to see the bigger business pictureEffective communicator who can partner across functionsSelf-starter who thrives with minimal supervision
