Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a hospital in Tucson, AZ where you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders. The Respiratory Therapist provides cardiopulmonary services following medical staff protocols and department policies. Responsibilities include assisting physicians with invasive and non-invasive procedures, delivery of medicated aerosols, maintaining airways, ventilator management, intubations, and blood gas analysis. Minimum Requirements: Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program. Current state license in good standing with the State License Board. Certification as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by the National Board for Respiratory Care. Minimum of one year experience in ICU, general medical-surgical floors, and Emergency Department settings. BLS and ACLS certifications required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ventilator management, arterial blood gas sampling and analysis, and airway management procedures. Previous hospital-based respiratory therapy experience in a moderate to high acuity setting. Some neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) or pediatric experience preferred to cover ED needs.
