Basic Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in engineering (System/Software Engineering, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical, etc.) from an accredited college Technical Planning experience during the proposal and / or early contract execution phases. Demonstrated Air Systems experience in one or more of the following areas: System Design, Verification, Systems Integration & Test (SI&T), Flight Test, Software, Supplier management Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge of the Systems Engineering Process Active SECRET security clearanceJob DescriptionThe Aeronautic Technical Planning team has been established to ensure all Aero Lines of Business (LOB) have a standard approach to proposal development, defining a sound basis for execution of an integrated effort across technical teams. This standard technical planning approach / process is also intended to enable subsequent technical management activities. The Aero Technical Planning team is responsible for providing guidance and/or oversight to the appropriate teams during the proposal development process enabling the creation of robust technical artifacts increasing the technical integrity of the product. The team will also assist in establishing a strong technical plan, a Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) and business rhythm for contract execution.Key Responsibilities Include Lead a team of technical planning engineers, helping to build their competency of the proposal process and technical products. Provide oversight to team ensuring they have the knowledge to perform their required duties, to include but not limited to: Coordinate with technical teams across all Engineering domains as well as other Functions (i.e. Production, Sustainment, Quality, Supply Chain) to ensure all engineering elements of the product, workflows, and their dependencies are appropriately defined and documented as required Provide analysis of existing technical documents that define the current plan and provide recommendations/path forward to increase technical integrity of the product Establish the framework, develop the process, and set expectations for Systems Engineering with regards to technical planning within the Aero LOBs. Interface with varying levels of leadership to convey and ensure key Technical Planning tasks/artifacts are executed and produced during proposal development.Desired Skills Proven leadership experience leading cross functional teams, mentor talent, and drive cultural change.
