Hiring: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Bethesda, MD or Boca Raton, FL (5 Days Onsite)
Employment Type: 6 Months Contract-to-Hire (W2 Only – No C2C)
About the Role:
Wine & More is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to take ownership of a Kubernetes-first, multi-cloud platform across Azure (AKS) and Google Cloud (GKE).This is a hands-on technical role where you'll help define platform standards, improve CI/CD pipelines, and build scalable infrastructure that empowers engineering teams. You’ll play a key role in platform engineering, automation, observability, and AI-driven innovation.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage multi-cloud Kubernetes (AKS & GKE) environments
- Design and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins & GitHub Actions
- Build and evolve an Internal Developer Platform (Backstage)
- Orchestrate workflows using Argo Workflows (non-CI/CD use cases)
- Operate and scale distributed systems: Kafka, CockroachDB, Couchbase, Elasticsearch
- Improve observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Tempo
- Develop platform tooling using Go, Node.js, and C#/.NETDefine SLOs, alerting strategies, and system reliability standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and support engineering best practices
- Required Skills & Experience5–8+ years in DevOps / Platform Engineering
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes-first environments
- Deep experience with Jenkins CI/CD & GitHub Actions
- Multi-cloud experience: Azure & GCPHands-on experience with Kafka at enterprise scale
- Experience with Backstage (IDP) and developer self-service platforms
- Strong knowledge of observability & distributed systems
- Programming skills in Go, Node.js, or C#/.NETPreferred Certifications
- Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA)
- Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD)
- Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS)
