Company DescriptionTexas Retina Center is a specialized retina practice located in Scurlock Tower within the bustling Houston Medical Center. We have a growing clinical research department with 12 active trials. The practice is dedicated to providing advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care for retinal diseases with early access to emerging therapies for our patients.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role based in Houston, TX. As a Retina Research Photographer, you will be responsible for capturing high-quality clinic and research diagnostic retinal images, assisting with clinical research studies, and supporting specialized imaging procedures. Additional responsibilities include maintaining and certifying imaging equipment, collaborating with clinic and research staff, and ensuring imaging protocols align with research and clinical requirements. Your work will directly contribute to advancing retinal care and vision-saving therapies.QualificationsProficiency in ophthalmic photography and experience with diagnostic imaging equipment including Heidelberg Spectralis OCT, OCT-A, Optos California and Topcon NW400 (DRSS 7-Field) Fundus Photography, Fluorescein Angiography, and Anterior Segment Photography.Phlebotomy, Lab Specimen Collection, Fluorescein Injection.Knowledge of clinical research protocols and familiarity with photo export and upload processes per specific sponsor and CRO requirements.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks effectivelyExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with medical professionals and diverse patients.Technical understanding of ophthalmology and retinal imaging is preferred.Certification as a Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA) or Ophthalmic Photographer preferred, but not required.
