Receiving Driver
Summary
The Logistics and Receiving Driver is responsible for the safe, timely, and accurate transportation of materials between company facilities, local vendors, and offsite locations. This role supports the Receiving and Stockroom teams by ensuring materials are handled in accordance with company procedures, safety regulations, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Perform scheduled pickups and deliveries from local vendors and offsite facilities.
Verify and document materials against shipping and receiving documentation.
Maintain accurate transportation logs, including DOT logs and internal tracking forms.
Ensure the company vehicle is clean, fueled, and maintained in safe operating condition.
Secure cargo using approved methods (e.g., tie-downs, wraps, banding).
Support Receiving and Stockroom operations as directed.
Maintain 6S standards and safety compliance at all assigned locations.
Adhere to all company safety policies, procedures, and ISO 9001 quality requirements.
Physical Demands
Stand for extended periods of time
Bend, lift overhead, climb stairs
Ability to lift 35 lbs.
Required Skills & Abilities
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Must meet all applicable Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements.
Ability to operate various types of materials handling equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and standard forklifts.
Ability to interpret and complete shipping, receiving, and delivery documentation accurately.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Reliable attendance and flexibility to work overtime as needed.
Required Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 1 year of experience in a similar driving or logistics role.
