Junior DevOps Engineer

SummaryThis is a full-time position located in Westlake, OH. The position is 5 days a week onsite.We're looking for a detail-oriented Associate DevOps Engineer to join our infrastructure team, supporting deployments, environment maintenance, and release coordination across multiple systems. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their DevOps career to grow into release management and infrastructure support within a stable, enterprise environment.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThis role is responsible for supporting environments, performing database syncing, handling internal deployments, managing configuration deployments, updating software tools, executing production deployments, and completing monthly production patching.QualificationsCandidates should have at least one year of experience in the IT industry and demonstrate the technical aptitude to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential, along with reliability and the ability to work effectively with various teams.The ideal candidate will also possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to resolve issues efficiently.Experience with Azure DevOps or a similar platform is required.Nice to haveExposure to enterprise job scheduling tools such as ActiveBatch, Control-M, or AutoSys, or a willingness to quickly learn one.Familiarity with SQL Server or another relational database platform, including basic query writing and troubleshooting.An understanding of Agile or Scrum practices and how they apply to release cycles and sprint-based delivery.Hands-on experience with Git or another source control system for managing code and configuration changes.Some exposure to Microsoft development tools such as C# or SSRS, whether through coursework, personal projects, or prior work experience.Experience working alongside distributed or offshore teams, with an appreciation for clear communication across time zones.A degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, completion of a coding bootcamp, or equivalent hands-on work experience in a technical role.
